Thanks for the Info but I can assure you that both the DMX 512 Master and Slave are in fc8, unless of course the master has been removed as there is an issue with it since I downloaded the program - unsure how to check that.

Hi
I have both Master and Slave on my v8 however (and this is just a guess) up untl v10 you had to buy component packs and you had CommsA / CommsB / CommsC so perhaps Slave and Master are in different packs?
Pretty much irrelevant now as ALL are free to use in v10.

Ok, just tried it with FC10 and get the same result i.e. really flaky intermittent receiving of the DMX signal on the fixtures.
Can anyone please share a working bit of code that sends out a continuous DMX signal that is constantly changing as from looking at the output it seems that when I update a value it screws the SendDMX macro.
If I have a known working bit of code it would be so helpful.
Please please help me
