EB083 Combo

Hi
Tried to use my EB083 combo with an EB006 Multiprogrammer, a goto of mine, but having difficulties with the display. The display just shows garbage. Have Port A2 as 1-sec flasher so it isn't timing.
In v10 FC doesn't see the EB06 at all (mLoader does).
In v9 whilst I can compile to chip straight from FC, the display just shows garbage.
Just wondering if anything has changed code-wise for this, as it was fine weeks ago.
Regards

Hello,
I'm not aware of anything changing, do you want to attach your program and I'll do some tests here in case something has accidentally become broken. The EB006 should be reprogrammable directly by v10 so that's strange that isn't working. Under Build -> Compiler Options check that E-blocks is selected as the default for your chip type.

Hi Ben
Just the most basic chart you can think on. Initialise, flash an LED on Port A for a few seconds then display a String. String just comes up as garbage. It's a test I do pretty much every time I use the combo to check functionality. It could be the board has failed (it owes me nothing) but before I go explore that, I thought I'd check if anything code-wise had changed.
A Doh..! moment re EB006. I hadn't used it on this machine since I installed v10.... completely forgot to check the settings. I've only been using v10 with the EB2 programmer on my other machine.. Thanks for fixing
I suspect the board as since my initial post I tested further, and it doesn't work in v7/ v8 either. Just nonsense appearing.
Regards

Hi Iain.
I have just tested EB083 with EB006 v9 and the display is working as expected for me.
Can you still attach your project file please so I can make sure everything is replicated?

Hi
Thanks for the offer. I'm a bit busy for the next day or two but I plan to test again. Sounds like a problem with a board though.

Hi
Found the problem. It was with the EB083.
Many things to suspect, chip, programmer, EB083, connections etc so I decided to just flash Ports as that would hopefully show up what was going astray or at least narrow it a bit.
Simple chart, flash unused pins on Port A (clock uses Port A pins), then all on Port B
Mostly good except that B2 flashed very dimly compared to others. Problem being Button B2 was "stuck" but a blast of compressed air and a few presses got it working again.
Regards

That's great that you found the issue.
At least now if someone else has the same issue, they can follow the same steps you took to find the cause.
Thank you for updating us.
