Hi,

i recently started using FC10 after a long time using FC7 which i loved.


I am facing a big problem with delays especially while opening a new popup windows such as the variable creation window or when i double click on a component to open and edit the component settings.

It is like there is a timer running in the background and everything is synchronized on this timer.

Is there any specific setting that i can have the program running faster?

I thing my computer performance is not the problem for the issue above.

Are you running the latest version?

Not running the latest version since the latest version can not be installed on windows 7 which i currently have on my computer.

Can you please show a screenshot or list all the Flowcode windows and tabs that re open - it could be one of those causing the issues. For example, the Variables tab of Project Explorer was causing some slowdown in projects with a lot of variables.

And please tell us more about the issues. How long is the delay? Does it happen on specific projects only? Is it happening even with new blank projects? Etc.

The delay for opening Properties:Macro window is approximately 1-2 seconds.

Closing the Explorer window seems to run a little faster but there is still a delay.

No matter which project i am working on, the delay is always happening. Note that i am talking for project with 80 or more variables.

I noticed that on a blank project there is no delay!

I am really sorry for this inconvenience. I hope you understand that when you have to write large programs and work for hours on the screen you are getting crazy because you have to compensate these delays with your flow of thought.

Please PM me one of your projects and I will see if I can pinpoint the cause of the slowdown. There may be some setting I can suggest to fix this for you.
