UART ports

Hello!
Did someone ever come across any 8bit chip of PIC having 3 UART ports, or it is always 2 ports only and for 3 or more ports i need to shift to 16bit chips. If the option is 16bit kindly point out a couple of basic chips available easily and in FC10 too.
Thank you.
Regards
Abhi

Hi
Microchip has a part selector tool that you can use to specify your needs
https://www.microchip.com/en-us/paramet ... IlNUQlN0Q=
As far as I am aware two is the maximum 8-bit PICs have, but you might be able to also use a Software Channel?

Hello.
If you select Embedded > Target Selector, that will display all the target devices Flowcode supports.
You can then Select PIC 8bit, then change the Show 25 devices to 100.
Finally click the Arrow to the right of UART, so it shows pointing down.
You will then see the total supported UARTS:

Hi Martin
That's interesting that FC shows those devices. When I looked on the Microchip site I didn't find any and filters only allowed me to select two ports. Entering the chip above it returned 0-ports... FC wins again

Hi Iain
I agree, the parametric search tool is not great for UARTS.
Just as reminder for Flowcode targets which allow filtering there is my spreadsheet found
here.

Hi Martin
I'd forgotten about your spreadsheet (which in the past I found very useful) probably due to changing laptops and not yet transferring everything over. For those using PICs it's worth downloading.
