Thanks for all your help guys - it is now running just fine!
Problem was due to my programming error and also a partially damaged temp. sensor. It would read positive temps. OK and negative temps. only down to -10C. This really threw me for a loop
Attached is the program for the D18B20 ...

Re: Problem reading negative temps. using DS18B20
Yes, I have looked over those posts but none help my problem. Still stuck.
Positive temps. work just fine but negs. don't. Were the one-wire macros tested with DS18B20s and neg. temps? It's almost like there is a bug somewhere or I'm really thick.
The original reason I purchased Flowcode was to use ...

Problem reading negative temps. using DS18B20
Hi - I cannot figure out what the problem is reading negative temperatures reliably using the DS18B20. :o
Positive temps. work just fine, but when trying to read negative temps. there is something erratic going on.
Looking at the DS18B20 data line, I notice that when readings appear to be correct ...

Re: File corrupted?
I bought a new PC and the corruption seems to have gone away. My old faithful was not up to the job!
When I first connected the PICKit3 to my new PC, it would not communicate with Flowcode even though all the programming parameters were correct.
Someone else on the web offered a good solution to ...

Re: File corrupted?
UPDATE: my file that I could not access is emcon4.fcf
I was able to recover my work by renaming the emcon4.fcf.001 file (some sort of backup in the same directory??) to emcon4.fcf. First I had to rename the corrupted file to something else. I may have pressed a button by mistake to cause the ...

File corrupted?
For the second time my work file seems to have become corrupted and I cannot open it. It's telling me that access was denied.

Re: DS18B20 does not work with one-wire
Thanks for the help. Yes, I have a 4K7 resistor pulled up to Vcc. I will add the PortA switch to digital and see how that goes. I am not sure of the programming differences between the DS1820 and DS18B20. Does anyone have code that works with the DS18B20? If none of this works then it might have to ...

DS18B20 does not work with one-wire
I have scoured this forum and the web to see if there is a successful example using this one-wire device with Flowcode - but none work. I am using a PIC16F884 with the device connected to RA0. I see activity on the DS18B20 data line, but all I get out is the number 4096 on my LCD display. Warming or ...
