Re: Flash storage

Now that the flash storage is working (with SAFEN enabled), I have noticed what seems to be a memory conflict. For example, the IO pin D2 data is being over-written. I'm using PIC16LF15375, Flowcode 8 and the compiler is: Microchip MPLAB XC8 C Compiler (Free Mode) V1.45 Build date: Nov 15 2017 Part ...

Re: Flash storage

You were correct, it was running out of memory space. The flash storage takes up about 10% of the memory.

Thanks much!

Re: Flash storage

I tried to add the flash storage component to my project which is using a PIC16LF15375 and I am getting the compiler error shown below. I am using Flowcode 8. First, does anyone know if this flash storage component would work on a PIC16LF15375? Second, how would get rid of the error? How do you swit...

Re: PIC16LF1828 FCDX file

Hi Benj, I did try Flowcode 8 and the PIC16LF1828 chip is still limited to 4K words.

Is there a why to update the compiler to allow the use of 7k words?

Thanks, Reg

Re: PIC16LF1828 FCDX file

I am using licensed copy of Flowcode 6, so no, I have not tried Flowcode 7 or 8. Maybe we will look into an upgrade if it will fix the problem.

PIC16LF1828 FCDX file

Most PIC16LF1828 sold today are 7K program memory (some are still 4k), but the FCDX file or BoostC complier LIB restricts you to 4K.

Is there an updated file for this chip that allows 7K program? Or is there a work-around?

Production handheld programmers

Is anyone using a handheld programmer for a PIC? I really want something that is portable like a handheld one. Looking online I found the Kanda PIC-HH0110 (a company in the UK), but I'm not sure what it would take to get that device to work with the Flowcode V6 software output.

Thanks, Reg

Component Macro for reading ADC temperature indicator

I am using a PIC16F1824 and would like to read the MPU's internal temperature indicator with Flowcode V6. I know I could use C code, but is there an easier way, like using a component macro?

The internal MPU temperature from the ADC module register channel select bit is '11101'.

Thanks,

Reg

Re: Using FlowKit in Flowcode V6

It is working now! I made the change to the FCDX file as you mentioned, but it still did not work. So I looked a little closer at the configuration settings, and per Microchip, you should not enable ICD in chip configuration. So once I disabled ICD within the chip configuration, it started to work. ...

Re: Using FlowKit in Flowcode V6

Hi Ben, it is the exact same result (exact same error message) no matter what I try. The Flowkit has a slow flashing LED indicating it is trying to communicate. I have tried 500khz clock with a ICD comm speed of 200, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000. I have tried 1Mhz clock with comm speed of 200, ...

Re: Using FlowKit in Flowcode V6

I am having trouble getting Flowkit to communicate with a PIC16LF1824. I am using Flowcode V6.0.7 and a new Flowkit with lastest 64 bit driver for Windows. I started with a basic program, just 1 second flashing LED on a custom board. The custom board uses the internal 500K clock. I am using J2 pin o...

Re: Using FlowKit in Flowcode V6

I got the Flowkit driver to install on the Windows 8.1 machine. I had to restart the machine with the digital signatures for drivers disabled (under PC settings, advanced diagnostics).

Re: Using FlowKit in Flowcode V6

Has anyone used Flowkit with Windows 8 machine? The Flowkit driver will not install (lastest 64 bit from website). I have tried running as administrator, and in Windows 7 compatibility mode, but no luck.

It does show up in the device manager as an unknown device.

Re: Flowcode 6 Pickit3

Hi Benj, thanks for the help .... MPLAB 8 worked to reload the older firmware that is compatible with FLowcode.

Flowcode is so easy to program with .... awesome.

Can you point me to an example of how to setup and use the scope?

Thanks again!

Flowcode 6 Pickit3

I having issues with Pickit3 and Flowcode 6, for I keep getting this error message (see below). Flowcode 6 and Pickit 3 are both new to me. I followed the instruction in another thread about setting up compiler options but still does not work. Pickit status light never even flashes. I did verify tha...
