OK, I figured it all out after my last post....................that little 722 is working keeping my beer cold as I type this!

I Found the problem you mentionned below after comparing the other FCD files for 72X parts >>>>this is how I got it working.....switched to ACD to 18 then got compile erros ...

Just an update.

I tested programming using the ICD3 and still the same thing...no go with the ADC....no problem without adc in the program.

So programming is not an issue

Switched the device in FC4 from 16F722 to the 886 and programmed and operated as expected with no problem.

programming is not the problem....

I can program the 886 no problem

I'm compiling to hex in FC...then inporting the hex into MPLAB then progrmming....same way I have always done it with FC3 and FC4

I'm sure it's a problem with configuration of the adc

I'm using using boostc included with FC4...I tried hitech C same result......

-Tried W7 ultimate w/o antivirus----same result
-tried vista w/o antivirus------same result
-tried XP pro w/o antivirus-------same result

-No Compile error See below...

Check my post in the v4 forum...

Simulates no problem.........Program runs no problem on chip until the ADC.........delete the ADC and the program runs without issue.

I'm using a Microchip PM3 programmer.

Only seems to be on the ADC.

That's too bad....FC V3 has worked so good.

Without hestiation, I bought FC V4 for support on this chip and it's not working.....I hope to get it working soon because the 722 is a nice chip....and I have a good pile of them.

I think your best bet is to check the component V4 FCD file, compare it to your V3 component file to see if anything jumps out.

Also post your flowcode program here for a mod to look at. <<<<<This is where I'm at with my bug on the ADC with certain devices.

I used the attached file from your post and it fixed the compile error however the the code freezes at the adc macro.... as soon as I delete the adc macro the program runs fine.

Got it working!

for those interested, All I needed to add was a chip select lines (left of Right)before LCD commands.

Also I found that I could use the macro for the LCD in flow code, and write graphhics to the LCD.

I highly recommend MM add the support for the graphics dot matrix, makes the LCD ...

ohh well, I guess there is a limit to what we can do with flowcode

I got 1 and wired it up as close as I could to the hitachi and no go
