It does appear that Bit defender may be the problem, hopefully our IT are allowed to add flowcode to the exclusions list.

Thanks for your input, yes It is frustrating for me as I just want to make it work
We are apparently using Bit Defender
Have just timed the download process, previously I had given up @ about 10 minutes, but have now sat with stop watch and .............

succesfully compiled and downloaded ...

Still No joy with getting flowcode to work.
May have to rethink and drop using flowcode in our lab permanently and find an alternative solution using some other software and re design our lab practicals.

Having to use a forum like this to resolve issues is not very satisfactory as I am relying on ...

1.Looked at Task manager : process = boostc_16f.exe*32 is using 24% CPU

2.After clicking Cancel and Close the window task manager still shows 24%

eventually used end process to stop task

Latest from our IT
Our Information Security team has reviewed the logs made in my area and we can see that Bitdefender hasn’t blocked or interfered with any activity.

Any other suggestions ?

We have had our computers replaced in my laboratory, and Flowcode no longer works.
It hangs at the preprocessor stage (see attachment)
Can you help ?
This is urgent as I am expecting students in the lab v soon

I tried the channel advice but didn't work, so out of desparation / Inspiration I added another Restart after label "Send Module Addr Read" and it now works.
I don't understand why the V5 version worked but not V6, but it works so happy days.

I tried using a previously successful working program created with Flowcode V5 which used I2C and HP488 to communicate with CMPSO3 compass module.
When I tried loading and compiling to chip the same program using Flowcode V6 it doesn't work.
Any ideas for a fix.

I don't seem to be able to find miac expansion modules in flowcode v6 6.0.9.0
having upgraded to v6 and bought miac + advanced expansion module bit dissapointed

Have managed to fix the problem

In compiler options / programmer /parameters :
was
-cs 1 -chip PIC %p -nogui "%f.Hex"
changed to :
config -chip %p "%f.Hex"
and all is working, I don't understand the parameters so if someone could explain I would be grateful

have tried unticking the power management optin, but still no joy

We are using networked pc's. My staff machine works ok if I write the code and compile to the board.
The student machine worked first day I installed flowcode, but not the next day and from then on.
if I load the student's code onto a mem stick and try loading and compiling it on my machine I get ...

mloader is red and say's no device detected.
have re-installed the driver numerous times, hardware/custom usb devices reports device is installed and working properly

Have checked chip config data and the device is listed there

also re-loaded the mloader driver and get "No device connected please plug in your device or press reset button"
tried reset button nothing happens

I am doing this at the moment to try and get around it.
Adcft = int2float(Adcint)
Temp1ft = fsub(Adcft, Cft)
Xft = fdiv(Temp1ft, Mft ...

How do I convert from Int to Float and Float to Int, I want to do some calculations on values read from Analogue to Digital converter?. I can't see any function to do this in the calculation help file.

If I use the suggested address in the speech component I just get audible clicks, but if I guess an address value eg 14 it works fine. Is there any way I can determine the size of my program in bytes?.
Then I can insert my speech address after this value. Or is it not as simple as that do I need to ...
