Interrupt on startup

I have written a flowcode program in Flowcode for an 18F72 PIC.
I am testing it using the eBlocks system - so I assume all pins are terminated correctly and not floating.
Port A is not used, Port B is inputs, Port C is outputs.

It works a treat in simulation, with the RBchange interrupt working ...

Re: pic 16F88 I/O port issue, any suggestions?

I must agree with the concern of other contributors.

I was sold this as a teaching aid, and for a simple intro to programming I need my students to turn on some lights, respond to some switches and understand interrupts.
The use of interrupts fixes Port B as interrrupts ( as with the eBlock input ...

Re: 16F84 Port A

I am a little uncomfortable making solder connections onto the multiprogrammer board.

Is there a good location to do this on the board which would be easiest.
Also, would it invalidate the warranty?

Cheers

16F84 Port A

Hi
Can I just ask you to clear something up ...

I am teaching PIc programming for the 16F84 using your E-blocks mutliprogrammer development board, and associated e-block led and switch modules.

I realise that PortA RA4 on the 16F84 is dual purpose and can be used as an output of used with an ...

Re: Changing Target

Also another problem just found ....

When I look in the 'Configure' screen for the target, I am happy that the Watchdog timer is off. See attached WatchdogError1.jpg.

When I look in the 'Expert Config Screen' I see that it says the Watchdog Timer is ON. See attached WatchdogError1.jpg. Which is ...

Changing Target

I have a flowcode program debugged and working in the 16F84.
I now wish to load it into a 16F88.

To do this I select the 16F88 in the Chip - Target menu of flowcode. It compiles and saves fine.
The target select screen dump is attached.(ChipError#1.jpg)

When I compile to chip, I get an error ...

Re: Cannot get going at all

A new board works with the new power connections- although the original one now won't program. I assume something has failed due to the incorrect power connection.

I have a supplementary question now I am going ...

I have written a simple nested loop to count down from 65535 to zero using two ...

Re: Cannot get going at all

Aha, I had the power going into the V+ screw terminal - I assumed the +14V terminal was an auxiliary output.

I will test the new setup later - is putting 13.5V into the V+ terminal likely to have damaged the board?

Unfortunately, nowhere in the documentation can I see the fact that the power has ...

Re: Cannot get going at all

Thanks for the replies.
I will check on Monday - however the multiprogrammer is exactly as sent - I simply removed it from the box, checked the jumper settings and plugged it into a power supply.
I doubt if there is more than one chip on there, as they would have been put there by yourselves.
Can ...

Cannot get going at all

I have a new Multiprogrammer, LED board and flowcode.

I have installed all the software as recommended and have successfully written a simple flowcode program, which runs fine in simulation.

I have connected the multiprogrammer - complete with 16F88 as delivered - to a 13.5V DC supply, have set ...
