Switches not simulating

Post by Bobw »

Playing around with version 6, I was making a simple 3 switch to control some LEDs.
When the switches are placed on the control panel as shown in the included FC, they will not simulate (will not move when clicked on.
When I placed the 3 switches at the top of the panel, they would now function normally during the simulation.

Don't worry about the coding to control the LEDs, this was just something i was playing around with to see if I want to up-grade from FC 5.5.

I am only using the demo version right now, but it is the latest release.
Not sure if that is a factor demo vs licensed version or not. Just figured I would say something in case there is a bug or something.

Hi Bob,

The executables for the licenses version and the demo are the same. Are you using version 6.0.2? If not choose 'Check for Updates' in the 'Help' menu. The patch solves numerous issues, I would certainly install it.
(The file available for download after registering is version 6.0.1, which needs to be updated)

I'm experiencing the same problem as Bob.
Click anywhere on the middle switch, it does not operate.
Move the switch away from the middle and it then allows you to operate it ok.
A clue to what's happening:
If you select the switch after simulation is stopped, the the middle left led is selected:

Click right of the switch then middle, middle led is selected.
Click the switch again, then the switch is selected.
Or to select the switch as as soon as possible, you need to click in the switch twice.

I'm running the latest pro version of V6

Hello.

This will be fixed in the next patch - looks like it was picking up a rogue hidden component that happened to be over the switch. Should never have been able to select this.
