Using PIC18F66K80 and Flowcode 5

Hi

I am going to start off saying that I have no idea about C coding.

I need to start a new project and I am going to need at least 4 PWM channels. Pic PIC18F66K80 has 5 although I have had problems trying to use them in V4, although apparently in V5 they should work fairly easily - is this true?

The second thing was I also need to use a Dual channel encoder as feedback, V4 does not have a macro for this but I believe V5 does. Will I be able to reliable detect around 200 pps from both channels? Do i need any special clock settings to achieve this?

Thanks in advance
Graham

In FCV5, you will be able to use encoder and should be able to use 4 PWM channel in Pic PIC18F66K80. If there is any problem in using PWM, I believe it is sort-able. Are you going to upgrade you to FCV5 or want to have help in FCV4?

Thanks

I was going to upgrade to V5 due to the Encoder Macro. Will I be able to get all 4 of the PWM Channels working on V4 without the upgrade?

Hi,
I have just tried to change in FCD but seems that not just FCD; you have to change in c code quite a lot to adopt that in FCV4. I have checked in FCV5 which already done here. So my suggestion would be to upgrade to FCv5.
Thanks,
