Hi,

This happened on another laptop, where I have installed flowcode V5. Download the program to the board gives the above error. I deinstalled Flowcode and the driver.
I installed Flowcode V5 again and it's driver, but the same error disapeared.

I have installed windowXP again (after formatting) and installed V5 again with the usb driver for the board and did the registration.

I sent the file to the board, but the compiler gives the same error!

How can I solveld this problem?

Thanks

Rob

Hello. Can you provide more information - perhaps post a program? Also, the contents of the compiler output window at the time of the crash 9a screenshot is OK) would be useful to find out where the crash is.

Cheers,

Jonny

Many thanks for your quick rsponce.

I have made a screenshot of the error message and the execution of the compiling. It doesn't matter which programm would be executed to write to the board.

Hi. OK.

Does Flowcode close when the error takes place, or does it just cause compile to fail? (If Flowcode closes then the error is in Flowcode, if it continues, the error is in the linker that was launched).

Can you try with the English language set - there may be a problem with the language pack and this will help cancel this out.

With these tried we can decide what else might be an issue from there.

Cheers,

Jonny

Hi

in flowcode, click on view then global options, when the options window opens click the applications tab, check the overide language box, then select english from the drop down box
can you also upload the msg.text file

Hello. Thanks for your help. There sounds like there is something in the translation tables then.

I will have a look at the issue and see if something cant be found - we are due to release a v5.5 next week so hopefully this issue can be fixed in that.

Cheers,

Jonny

Hello again. If you can post your file I will see if I can replicate the issue. There seems to be no crash when I just try an empty program.

Cheers,

Jonny

Hi Jonny,

Good afternoon.

Unfortunately we are unable to replicate this issue on our systems here. It seems from the thread that the linker is crashing but I am unsure why this would be associated with the Flowcode language as these should be independent of each other.

We will continue investigating here but I'm afraid there will be no (intentional) fix for this in the v5.5 to be released this week. The issue may well be tied to certain language packs installed and we can never hope to exactly replicate your system.

In the meantime, I hope you can continue OK with English selected, or perhaps there is some other language pack available that does not have this problem you would prefer.

Cheers,

Jonny

Hi Jonny,

The other language is no problem (English), but I get the same error! I have search on the Internet about this kind of error and installed (freeware) cleaners to solve this problem, till yet without succes, there is a special program "WisefFxer"
they (http://www.fixpchelper.com/) claim a solution for this type of error, but you have first pay and then when you lucky it's gone!. do you this kind of cleaner?

In the mean time I use another (older) laptop with XP and flowcode V5, which runs OK.

When you have another suggestions, let me know, I thinks I would be clean installtion again to sove the error.

Rob

Nope search google for reviews of the program you mention.
Try avg tune up heres the link http://www.avg.com/gb-en/pctuneup_ppc?g ... tAodMCEAGA , let it scan your system and it will bring up a list of things it finds wrong, then click the run maintenance button, its a one day trial so you can decide whether its worth buying or not

Hi
Before you do a clean install, uninstall flowcode, then search the registry for flowcode entries, i use this reg editor (jonny sent me the link and its brilliant) http://www.regmagik.com/
install it ,click on the tools ,click on find, see pic. let it do its thing then delete all the entries for flowcode, reinstall flowcode and see if it helps
