solar charge controller

Post by nmindana »

Hello,

I am planning on a solar charge controller, using PWM, I have seen the tutorial on PWM, which was
useful, but how do you charge a 12 V LA battery, using the above, what duty cycle is suitable, how to obtain the battery charge status ect.

Did not find anyone discuss this before.

regards

Indana

Hello,

I think some good terms to Google are "trickle charger schematic" and "charge pump schematic"

Replacing schematic for project or guide may help to get more results.

I have made a trickle charger for a past project using wind and solar energy to charge a lead acid battery.

You can find the schematic for this in the doc file available here

Hi
I have made a solar charge controller 5 years back but I have the code with me still somewhere I feel. It was done using 16f72 as far I can remember. Please let me know if you need that.
