Hi,
I'm using a C block to pass asm code
i want to start the RTTC (set RTCCMD from PMD1 register) from the PIC18F87K22

asm
{
movlw 0x55
movwf EECON2
movlw 0xAA
movwf EECON2
}

but i obtain the error "error in built-in assembly" when compiling to hex
the two "movwf EECON2" cause the error ???!!!!!!!! why?

I'm teacher and using Flowcode v5.5.2.1 and "EasyPIC Pro 7"
(sorry for my english but i'm a french user)

Hello,

Try instead using this.

movlw 0x55
movwf _eecon2
movlw 0xAA
movwf _eecon2
}

As far as I am aware all registers in BoostC are lowercase and assembler versions start with an underscore.

tried before your response
movwf _EECON2 -> error
movwf 0x00000F7F -> error

tried now
movwf _eecon2 -> OK

PROBLEM SOLVED

ASM: case sensitive, "_" required
