Dear Sir
I have been using flow code 5 with out any problems I now unable to program the chips I get this error message please help
Error: Failed to open:libc.pic16.lib or C:\Program Files\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V5\Tools\BoostC\lib/libc.pic16.lib
the program file is there on the hard disc

Hi Ken,
What has got me confused is you have posted in the V6 section, yet you have stated its V5 and its failed to open a library that has a path set for Flowcode V5:

Also your a V4 registered user.
What exact version of Flowcode (select help about) are you running?
As it looks like you have posted in the wrong section.


Have you tried changing compile to default settings?
You can do that from within compiler options.

I must have mad a mistake posting in v6 I have v4 and up graded to v5 I am registered in v5 and this is the one that has just gone wrong
I have reset the compiler to default

No problem, I have moved to Free version of Flowcode V5, since your not registered for V5 section,

Hello Ken,

I just tried to compile your program here and it is working ok for me.

One option to resolve the problem would be to go into Control Panel -> Programs and then do a repair installation on Flowcode v5.

If this doesn't work then an uninstall and reinstall should work to fix the issue.

Thank the repair did not work where can I down load the program now as I do not have the original down load any more

Hi Ken,

If you go to the Matrix homepage then you can register for an account by clicking the register button at the top of the page.

http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/accounts/register.php

Then log in and go into the old licenses section and add your CD license key. You will then have a stored copy of Flowcode v5 that you can come back and download whenever you need it. I think the same applies for v4 and v3.
