Hi, does anyone know of an easy way to save the video tutorials so they can be viewed off-line?
Or better still maybe, convert them to avi format.

KeepTube is a site where you can download and keep YouTube videos. Might also work for other video streaming sites. Another tool you could try is fraps which records the screen in a very fast and efficient way, mostly used for recording game play.
