4x1 LCD I2C

I wanted a very small LCD. I found a 4x1 LCD with uses I2C http://www.hexpertsystems.com/LCD/. It uses the Philips PCF8576C driver.

But the first test met flowcode 7 does show the expected results, see picture.
Can someone helps me?
- Can that be due to the fact that the Flowcode minimum setting for this LCD is 1x5 instead of 1x4?
- Or does it means that I cannot use the standard LCD-I2C macros and that I have to program it with I2C commands myself?

With kin regards

In the mean while I found this is not a standard LCD protocol. So I stop the use of this LCD

Hi Jan,

Looks like a nice little display but maybe limited to 7-seg style numeric output. Might not be too much work to make a component if you feel it would be worthwhile.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your offer. But I will first try an other LCD.

Is the I2C slave address (bit0-bit6) or (bit1-bit7) in case of the LCD macro's?

Kind regards

Jan

OK, the slave address in Flowcode is 7 bits from 0 to 127 (without the R/W).

I use the LCD from Midas Components MCCOG2105B. The slave address is 0x3E, but I do not see any action on the LCD.

Does someone has any suggestion to get this LCD working?

With kind regards
