Hi Team.
I am unable to select the Comport in FC7 ,I tried the UART Component and the Hi Injector none allows me to select my ComPort
which is available and working correctly.

You will see if I use my terminal program I can select the ComPort however in FC there is no Port available to select.
Am I missing something here ,I would have expected when I click on the port in Properties the available ports will show up
I have restarted my computer a few times as I thought it will FC will refresh the ports

Any suggestions advise

I see COM5 in my laptop when I connect my USB->RS232 adapter. Check in Windows Device Manager if the port show up correctly. If it's assigned to other application you can try to change to a spare one.

Thank you for your reply ,I have done that in "device manager" the port is available for selection it is only in FC that it is not available

I think this is a general RS232-injector bug.
Arduino nano328 does not work.
I can not select the COM port.
Clean installation, Win10 proff 64 bit, running in Administrator mode.

This could be linked to a Microsoft .net runtime issue. I was testing 7.2 with a clean windows 10 build and found that no COM ports were available. We then re-built our DLL libraries using the same runtime that Flowcode uses (previously 2008, now 2013 I believe) and this fixed the Windows 10 problem for us. We included these new DLLs in v7.3.

Might be worth trying to install the x86 versions of the .net 2008 and .net 2013 runtime to see if that helps things at all.

When moving to 7.3 did you do a fresh install or a patch? I wonder if the patch isn't replacing the DLL files correctly?

Here is the current 7.3 COM port DLL, it needs extracting from the zip and lives in the "Flowcode 7/components/dll" folder.
Let us know how you get on.

I apologize I only realized now that I did not mention the OS.
So yes I installed the full installation not the patch ,I have 2 machines 1 is Running WIN10 I have no issue on this machine ,the other machine is a WIN7 machine which I actually use for my LAB work and on this WIN7 32bit machine I can not acces the ComPort

Please do not worry about this, I know WIN7 is old and I should perhaps replace the LAB machine but economics in Russia does not allow for this at the moment.I can ,live with out Comport in FC on this machine if the ICD is working and now it does after the float fix in XC8

Win7 should work fine but you will maybe need a redistributable to allow the COM ports to work.

Sorry I've just been told it's the 2015 release you need, not the 2013 one.

Not a bug as such, in 7.2 we used the 2008 .net runtime for our DLLs, this worked fine under Win7 but didn't work in Win10 without installing the 2008 .net runtime from Microsoft.

In 7.3 we upgraded the DLLs so they use the 2015 .net runtime which works fine under Win10 but not in Win7 without installing the 2015 runtime.

It basically boils down to the way Microsoft manage their runtimes.

Win10 64bit does not work, com detection.
Installed:
runtime 2008,
I installed the runtime 2015.
Does not work.
The old Flowcode6 dll file is copied, the port recognition in v7 works.
