Hi All
I lost my Laptop due to a Mother board failure. I have mu old Laptop Drive but can't find a way to read or get my old Flowcode 6 work.

I thought I would ask is there a way to take the Chip that I have my current build and build the Flowcode back ?

I found a old design on the forum that I can rebuild from. Just would be nice if there was a process to get the programming back from a chip.

There is no automated way to reverse the process from flowchart to chip. I can be done manually if you have sufficient knowledge and a lot of time. Recreating the flowchart will be more efficient.

I had a strong feeling it wouldn't be possible.

I have the old one and trying to remember my changes from 2017 to the one I loaded into the project. The project worked 95% and I had some ideas to make it a little better then my Laptop crashed.

Hello,

Reading the old HDD might be possible, Windows flags drives as owned by the user of the operating system.

Windows will only show you HDD that you own in the Computer folder.

You can use the Windows disk management tool to claim ownership of an old HDD and this should allow you to see and copy off the file contents.

Great news if I can read the files
I'm running Windows 10 on the New Laptop
The Old Drive was running Windows 8
I can see the Drive Letter "F" which I think is the Old Laptop Data area but I can't read it.
The Drive "G" I can see and it looks like the Old Laptop Recovery partion.
I could not find the Step to change to 'Classic View in Windows 10 ?

I tired the info in the forum but I can't see the "F" Drive under "Computer management > Storage: Disk Manager
I have added the screen Shots
1. Disk Manager --- Not listing the F or G drive
2. Windows Explorer - I see the F and G drive but no data

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The Old drive is a SATA 6 500GB

Hi John,

Might be worth trying some recovery software. I've had some success with O&O software (
Other brands are available. - most free versions just show what is there and don't allow recovery). It certainly doesn't always work - sometimes just recovering garbage because the hard drive is badly damaged - but if the date is still there, there is a good chance it will pull something off.
An alternative is to try a Linux boot (use a distro that boots from CD) and try from there.

If you are struggling under the Windows environment, might i suggest trying to load a USB bootable linux OS and then mounting the drive in the linux environment, Linux does not care about Windows permissions, and unless the drive has been "bitlockered" you should be able to see all the files available.

I have recovered many files in the past by using a USB booting linux OS and this method. There are probably some step by step tutorials online for doing this.

I found by far the best way for file retrievement from a hard-drive (at users risk).
1) Download Rufus from here
2) Download hirensbootcd
3) Use Rufus to create a bootable Hirensbootcd on a blank USB flash drive.
4) switch PC off and connect hard-drive you wish to extract files from.
5) Boot up from the USB flash drive (usually by pressing F11 during boot-up but your PC may vary) selecting partition 1: Note:
The PC will boot up a virtual win10 environment from the flash drive.
So Windows10 is not running from hard-drive.
You can use explorer from within virtual win10 to copy files from the hard-drive to retrieve files from, on to any external USB flash drive or storage device.
