I have a issue with flowcode Vv8.2.2.15 when opening a new project it hangs after selecting pic 12f675 or any other chip.
Running on windows 10 .
The only way to close is with task manager.
If I open a previous project then it seems to work even if I change the chip.
Is there a reason why it cannot get past "start page"
I have tried everything from previous posts on the web, but nothing works.
help needed

1. completely uninstalled flowcode
2 cleared flowcode in program data.
3 cleared hkey matrixtsl in registry
4 deleted any trace of flowcode shortcut etc.
5 reinstalled flowcode
still no joy.
did notice something that might be relevant, on the install the green that appears in the progress window travels along steadily and then stops before the end about three quarters from the start and sits there for a long time before the finish eventually appears.
I cannot remember how the green went on previous installs, is this normal.

It could be that something else on your PC is interfering with Flowcode - perhaps an anti-virus or firewall program. Maybe check their logs. Also, does the same problem occur if you restart Windows in safe mode?

I know it's far from ideal, but a workaround is to open an existing file and then change the chip (etc) instead of creating a new file. For convenience, here's a blank file for the 16F675:

greetings all, retried all recommended solutions and found the the program will run ok in safe mode.
fire wall is McAfee, suspending it makes no difference still no joy.
suggestions?

As it is working in safe mode, I suspect that another program is interfering with it and solving problems like this remotely is very difficult. But we're happy to try.

The second link I sent showed the problem when running in a virtual machine on a MAC. Are you running Flowcode in a VM or a sandbox environment? That also seems to cause the problem.

Regarding the delay with the progress bar on installation, that might indicate a problem. One way to check is to uninstall and then run the installation again whilst collecting a verbose log. There are instructions on how to do this here: https://www.advancedinstaller.com/user- ... a-log.html.

And has Flowcode v8 always had this problem on this PC? If it worked previously, what may have changed to cause this problem?
