PIC18f452 & RS232 communication

Hi guys,
I have a problem in establishing communication via rs232 board and above mentioned PICmicro. Can anyone tell me the correct patch settings for that micro? I set jumper J6 (D) and jumper J5 (1). Further I connected RX (P1) to 7 (P2) and TX (P1) to 6 (P2)...
I tested both, RC and XTAL position
