Replacement Graphical Display

Hi,

I have two EB043 graphical display units which I am using connected to two ARM EB185 units.
Problem is that one of the displays broke when I dropped something on it. I bought a display (Nokia 6610) on eBay to replace the broken unit, but it did not work.
Checking on the internet I have since found that there is at least two different display drivers used on these displays, obviously the one I bought on eBay does not use the same device as the one sold by Matrix. Checking the C code generated against the NXP PCF8833 and EPSON S1D15G00 data sheets it would appear that it is the NXP display driver used on the EB043 units. Could you please tell me if this is correct or if not then which device is used and how can I identify and purchase a correct replacement.

Thanks

Andrew H.

Benj,

Have checked out the Display3000 website but there is no mention of which controller is on their displays. I have emailed them twice but not received a reply.
Checking their online documentation they do say that all 1.5" displays sold by then have the same controller, but no mention of what it is.
Are you 100% sure that the display sold by them is compatible with your hardware and software?

Cheers,

A.H.

Hello

Yes they are definatley correct. When we were first making the E-Blocks we used the display3000 LCDs.

There are only subtle differences between the two code drivers anyway so even if (and its a big if) the LCD is the incorrect type then it should only be a couple of lines of code in the driver file that needs to be changed.
