Got a message on software install 'DPInst.exe does not execute on your current Operating System.' which is Windows 7. Didn't think much at the time as the device was showing up under Device Manager and I thought it had installed. The user can't compile to the chip, its saying USB is not connected, although the board is showing under Device Manger for him. I think this topic 'http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforum ... =13&t=6805' refers to the same issue but the document is no longer there. Any information on getting the board to work would be grateful.

Try downloading the latest drivers from here : http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/softwar ... driver.zip

If its 64 bit win 7 run dpinst_amd64.exe
If its 32 bit win 7 run dpinst_x86.exe

When you plug your HP488 it should come up as a "Custom USB Device" in the device manager.

If that does not work, you can unzip the contents of the file onto your hard drive and then in device manager right click on the device and "update driver software". Manually look for a location and point it to the contents of the unzipped drivers, it should pick it up and install the drivers.

Hopefully that will help, if not try uninstalling the drivers and then work through this again.
If not again, uninstall the drivers and skip the first step and point the "unknown device" at the extracted contents of the zip.
