USB Keyboard - Can anyone help please?

Hi all,
On the ECIO I'm trying to get this Flowcode USB HID Example doing something different:

This file uses the Keypad EBlock and I'm trying to change that device for a button EBlock and the issue is the reading of ascii from the keypad.
Anyone have any ideas please?
