Hi, I'm trying to use the same port pin as a digital in and out. however as soon as I set the port to give an output it resets back to an input on the next instruction, do I need to use soms ASM code to reset the pin to an output for a duration , then use ASM again to reset to an input?
if so can ...

Re: PIC10F200 missing files
Hi Ben,
Many thanks for that.
That worked for the OSCCAL and GPIO OK but now get this :-
Launching the compiler...
C:\Program Files\HI-TECH Software\PICC\9.70\bin\picc.exe --CHIP=10F200 -N48 Kojak1.c
C:\Program Files\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h: 176: (1360) no space for auto ...

Re: Hi tech Compiler V9.81
Hi Guys, Well it seems as if the 16F1827 is the way to go with this, there will be a lot of redundant menory bu what the heck, Also when I tried to use the 16F1826 with 1 PWM it would not compile as it did not recconise, the ccp2 commands.
what is the work round for this?
many thanks to all

Re: Hi tech Compiler V9.81
Hi Ben,
Well I found a typo in the compiler Parameters, have corrected it and now get
(908) Exit status = 1
when I try to compile. any ideas.
many thanks

Hi I'm trying to compile to a PIC16F1826 with a bit of code writen for a 16f 818, have installed the compiler but get the message
(902) no chip name specified; use "PICC--CHIPINFO" to see availble chip names.
What am I not doingcorrectly?

ADC and External Vref
Hi, Got a small problem in that the Vcc of my PIC is unstable so I need to use an external Reference voltage for my ADC ( this a battery powered circuit)
so how do I set up my ADC to use Vref+ on AN3, I am assuming that it will have to be done with a "C" statement. The PIC is a 18F819 and only AN0 ...

port c test.fcf
Hi Ben,
I hope the attachment is ok as I an not used to this froum. As I said all works well in simlation but not in hardware. I had tried to use port c for the display
and noticed that leds connected to bort b (bits 2 & 3 ) were misbehaving too wilst in simulation.

Port C on PIC18F2420 not working
I have a problem in that the port C on a PIC18F2420 can't be controled! all works in simulation however once the program is compiled port C seems to be switched to all output's set to low, port A & B are OK (in and outputs on port A OK, LCD connected to port B is also OK) I have tried to set port C ...

Hi,
I have a major problem in that I cannot get a PIC18F1220 to run even a simple program, I have set the osccon to 0x62 which is supposed to select theinternal osc and run at 4mHz, disabled the watchdog and LVP, but can't get any joy. I have tried with 5 chips but get the same non result. Is there ...
