Re: PWM alternative PIN on PIC18

Hello Benj

Your quick response provides a satisfactory solution to my problem.
It's a little annoying to still be obliged to change the .fcd file to come back but it's not difficult.

Thank you very well.

Best regards

Re: PWM alternative PIN on PIC18

Hello Benj or Steve

I come to you again after a few monthes because I really need a solution to the problem of the dysfunction of the alternative pin on CCP2 with ECIO40.
Is it possible for you to modify the file "PIC_PWM.ocx" or "ECIO-40.fcd" or other....
I recall that I speak on behalf of 32 ...

Re: ICD Mode

Hello Steve

I use a new EB006 V7 card, on which I have just replaced the PIC16F88 by a PIC18F4455. The crystal is the original piece (19,66MHz), the selector is on XTAL.
With the ICD mode off, the rate of the flash seems correct (approximately 0,5Hz).

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Re: ICD Mode

Hello Steve

I know the difference between the PIC18F4455 mounted on ECIO40 and the PIC18F4455 40 pins DIL which I have placed on the EB006, so I have configured RB6 and RB7 for the ICD mode with EB006.
I have tested all the speeds available in ICD mode (with compilation and transfert of the program ...

Re: ICD Mode

Hello

I have the same problem than Wolfgang.
I am using an EB006 V7 card : with a PIC16F88 it works correctly (LVP program, with ICD mode or not), but with a PIC18F4455 the normal mode (LVP program and no ICD) works and the ICD mode refuses to work.
Nota : I use a 18F4455 to test programs ...

Re: Components simulation

Hello Benj

In the History_PIC_4.2.3.txt file joined with FlowcodeV4.2 I read this : "7seg1, 7seg4 and Stepper now manipulate i/o of the device".

Is this in relation with my previous request : in this case there is a problem because it does not work ?
However 7seg1 and 7seg4 work like I want with ...

Re: Components simulation

Thank you Benj for your reply.

Now the simulation of 7segments components works also without using dedicated macros, that solves a part of my problem.
The keypad works like I want on Flowcode V3, I think this should not be too difficult for you to do like 7segments ??? The 32 schools I represent ...

Components simulation

Hello

I had posted this in the wrong zone then I report here.
I simply want to report that it's a little tiny to be impossible to simulate some simple components without using the dedicated macros (keypad, led7seg, led7seg4, steppermotor).
I add that I wish only flowchart should be used (no ...

Re: PWM alternative PIN on PIC18

Hello Benj

Thank for your reply.

My problem is that we are using ECIO base board (EB061) + ECIO40 circuits + Eblocks in a group of schools and it is important for us to remain in the standard version of firmware.
As well, for our different applications, we need to use sometimes RC1, sometimes RB3 ...

Re: Interrupt on RB0 with ECIO

Thank you Medelec35 for reply.

Before your post I had tried your suggestion. The attached file was only an example : the problem is constant when USB cable is connected. It appears after the ECIO is put on RUN automatically at the end of sending program by the PC, when INTRB0 is enabled (I have ...

Interrupt on RB0 with ECIO

Hello

I have a problem with interrupt on RB0 (or RB1) with ECIO40.
The simulation is OK but with my hardware, exclusively based on Matrixmultimedia Eblocks, the interruption runs "all alone" one time after MCLR : oviously it's very awkward.
I specify that after this untimely run the interruption ...

Re: PWM alternative PIN on PIC18

Hello Benj

I am sorry to insist but I need help.
I have created a circuit, based on ECIO40 and using "RB3" for PWM, wich is diffused in 32 schools and I was convinced they were no problems.

Thanks a lot in advance

Best regards

Re: PWM alternative PIN on PIC18

Hello Benj

Unfortunately your solution doesn't work (the "RB3" pin still remains at 1L)
I done several tries : particularly with CCP2 alternative pin checked or not

Re: PWM alternative PIN on PIC18

Hello

Thank you Benj for your help.
The problem is solved with PIC18F4455, but normally I use an ECIO circuit and for this "object" the parameters are not accessible, so it's impossible to configure like your indications.
Have you a solution for ECIO ?

PWM alternative PIN on PIC18

FlowcodeV4 and Proteus files Flowcode.zip

Hello
I have a problem on using "alternative pin" with CCP2 PWM on PIC18F4455 (pin 36). The simulation with Flowcode (V4) is OK but it doesn't work on my hardware and with Proteus.
On using normal PIN (pin 16) there is no problem.
It seems that the ...

Re: Simulating program with interrupt

Thank you Medelec and Benj for your precious help.

With the new .fcd file the problem is nearly solved.
It remains that now the interrupt routine is executed much less often than before, is it normal ?

Is it possible for Benj to post a new .fcd file for PIC18f4455 (for proteus simulation) ?

Best ...

Re: Simulating program with interrupt

Sorry "medelec35" but I have attempted multiple properties for the block "interrupt", beginning obviously by "internal clock", and the simulation always refuses to progress.
I specify again that the program works correctly with my hardware.
Unfortunately the PWM alternative pin doesn't work as well ...

Simulating program with interrupt

I have created a program for ECIO40 which uses interrupt on TMR0, ADC converter, PWM ...
At all it includes the prog main and 12 sub-prog (about 1100 bytes)
My problem is that when simulating (1000Hz or less) the simulation is blocked on the end of the macro which follows the block "interrupt enable ...
