Hi Martin & Eric
Thanks for your time & effort. I tried the exact connections which Eric suggested but unfortunatly still the key pad doesnt read

I have tested your original code on a breadboard, and it is working correct. I did not change any settings or configs.

Re: Interrupt and keypad

Hi Team,

The interrupt function on the attached programme only works on the last row of the keypad, it doesn't interrupt when other
switches on the keypad are depressed?. Probably a very simple reason which I failed to understand.

Using PORTB interrupt on the keypad, needs some more code ...

Re: Using Interrupts to scan Keypad

I am glad to report that I have completed my Timer project. There was still a small problem with the keypad interrupt system. In the Keypad_GetKeypadNumber custom code, the macro Delay_us(10) is called. As this is also used with some other component macros, and the Delay command, it could lead up to ...

Re: Using Interrupts to scan Keypad

Hi Fotis.

Sorry, but I failed to let you know that I replied to your previous topic http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8422 . I posted the code for RB0 interrupt as well as 6 button interrupts on RB1..6. The code at this link is for the 16F887.

Please let me know if it ...

Re: DS1307 project problem

Another problem during testing and development of DS1307 projects, is that there in normally no battery connected to the DS1307. In this case, the Vbat pin (pin 3) MUST be connected to 0V. With the pin floating, the DS1307 will sometimes block writes to the device.

Not related to your problem, but ...

Fotios

I do not have a 16F887, but I did have a look at the datasheet, and hope this program might help you on this specific chip.

Please note that the PORT interrupt does not seem to simulate correct, it only works for RB4..7. But I am sure it will work correct in your application. I have added ...

Re: Using Interrupts to scan Keypad

Hi Fotis

Thanks, I had a look again at the PORT interrupt, and it is in fact the same as the IOC you are refering to. The main reason that I have created the custom interrupt, was that the Flowcode keypad does not return all the I/O pins to the correct status to make the PORT interrupt work correct ...

Hi Eric,

Your programme doesn't seem to work on simulation?.

No interrupt occurred!.

May be its's my copy of flowcode, I don't know.

You are correct. The keypad does not work on the simulation, but works 100% in the project. I am working on a 8 channel timer project, which ...

Using Interrupts to scan Keypad

Setting up a keypad in Flowcode with interrupts.

Using interrupts to determine if a key was pressed, frees up the PIC to continue with normal operation, without the need to periodically scan for key
presses. The attached Flowcode sample makes use of the PORTB interrupt, which will automatically ...

Microsoft Flight Sim X Modules

FSX can use several game controllers at a time to control the simulator. Several devices are available for purchase, but at a cost. To allow easy interfacing with buttons and switches, I have build the following modules, all using the PIC 18F2550. The devices all connects to the PC via USB.

8 x Digital Outputs
6 x Digital Inputs
4 x 10-Bit Analog Inputs
1 x Status LED

USB Serial - Receiving '&hFF' in Flowcode 4

Hi

I have build some industrial devices over the past years, and they all made use of PIC 16F876, with standard RS232 comms to the PC software running at 19200 baud. The software was created in Visual Basic 3 & 5. Devices are used in the plant, and are connected to a laptop PC. The sofware comms is ...
