Using the DAC on the EB013 along with a ECIO28P.
The DAC only uses SCK, SD0 and DAC EN, but not SDI. Can I use the SDI(RB0) as an independent i/o line, or does it get tied up with the SPI Legacy routines?

Re: Error: Access violation
Thanks David,
I'll stick with 4.3 for now.
I'm running Windows XP with all the updates, in case that helps with your investigation. I have another licence that runs on a Windows 7 machine - v4.5 works fine on that.

Re: Error: Access violation
Hi John,
It's not a specific flowchart that causes the error. Any flowchart, including examples from Matrix, gives the same error.

Re: Interrupt priorities on an ECIO40
I see that JACQOUT had a similar interrupt priority question http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8507&p=25093&hilit=interrupt+priorities#p25093 and there was talk of using intcon3 to control the priority of INT2. I don't know if JACQOUT resolved this, but would that ...

email notification not working
My email notification doesn't seem to work. My account settings have a valid email address, and I am checking the 'Notify me when a reply is posted' box.

Re: Interrupt priorities on an ECIO40
What additional code do I need to make TMR2 a high priority interrupt and INT2 a low or lower priority. I assume this code would be put somewhere at the very beginning of the overall program - is that right?

External reset for the ECIO40
I want to be able to externally reset an ECIO40 with a switch. Pin 3 of the ECIO40 is labelled RESET. What voltage and/or circuitry do I need to add?

Hi,
The project is a pulse generator with the following layout:
TMR2 is configured to provide a regular timing interrupt, which sets a pulse flag when the next pulse should occur.
The main routine contains switch checking (to set the pulse rate and width) and writing to an LCD.

Re: Interrupt priorities on an ECIO40
Thanks Benj,
How do I change the priorities of the interrupts? Do I need to use a C routine? (I'm not familiar with C).

Re: Timing issues with the LCD EB005
That worked a treat!
I only had issues with the LCD if I set '#define %s_DELAY delay_us' down to (10). I'll leave it a (50), and with that setting and taking out the 'Wdt_Delay_Ms(2)' I can position the cursor & write a whole line of 20 characters/numbers in about 5mS.
Cheers

Re: Timing issues with the LCD EB005
Thanks for the speedy reply Benj. I will try your suggestions later. A couple of questions:
1. Does both 'print number' & 'print string' use the 'send data function', so if I amend
#ifdef _BOOSTC
#define %s_DELAY delay_10us(10)
#endif
in the definitions macro, does that affect writing numbers and ...

Timing issues with the LCD EB005
I'm trying to write data to the EB005 LCD board within a tight time window of 10mS. The data sheet for the EB005 quotes 'Cursor Shift' & 'Write Data to Ram' execution times as 39uS and 43uS, but I'm finding it takes 2.2mS for a cursor shift and 1.3mS for a write data (for 3 characters, it gets ...

Many thanks Benj.
I didn't realise that the rollover values could be altered from those in the drop-down list.

Flowcode for a 10mSec interrupt on an ECIO 40
I trying to get a 10mSec (100Hz) interrupt on a ECIO 40. I've tried all the combinations of TMR0/1/2, pre/post scaler, rollover, but cannot a combination that gives an exact 100Hz.
It's easy with the MCU Multiprogrammer EB006, TMR0 set to 300Hz, count 3 loops.
Any suggestions welcome.
