12f1501 - Unknown chip type in data file

Post by beneee »

I have the BL0080 and want to program a 12f1501, as the board does not have a 8-pin socket I have used the icsp onto some breadboard but keep getting this error when sending to the chip - Unknown chip type in data file

I have checked my connections and all seems fine - what am I doing wrong?

Sounds like not yet supported by mLoader.
Trying to find an updated list of mLoader supported devices.
Found this page 4.
Perhaps there is a more up to-date version somewhere?
Steve would know.
Do you have a programmer that does support 12F1501.
E.g PICkit 3 or 4?

Everything I have read says it does, I have the new Eblocks2
https://www.matrixtsl.com/webshop/e-blo ... ammer.html

I hope it does as I have just bought 40 chips for a load of upcoming projects and chip has been around ages, the datasheet I have for it is 2011

You could be correct but is there a document that specifically mentions pic12F1501 is supported by mLoader?
If so I will take back What i said.

Edit: Just searched mLoader for keyword of 12F and results are:
Search On 12F Series.png
Search On 12F Series.png (5.5 KiB) Viewed 1886 times
That would also suggest not supported by mloader.
Does not mean not supported by the eblocks as hardware, just need external programmer.

Reason: Added information from 12F search within mLoader
