I have a programmer that has been used to burn 2 chips It no longer works for some reason says No USB connection (slot0)
Cable and ports are both fine any ideas

Is it our hardware your using. Have you tried the USB power management workaround detailed here.

Also make sure that the jumper settings are still correct. Eg USB/PSU jumper set to PSU and USB/ICD jumper set to USB.
If none of the above works then is the device showing up in device manager and also is the orange LED lighting when the USB is plugged in.
