Can't connect VNET

Post by MJU »

I have Flowcode 4.1.1.55 and two flowcode files with a CAN project. (CAN1project.fcf and CAN2project.fcf)
I've tested this with two Eblocks hardware boards and it works.

Now I wanted to test it in the VNET environment but while trying I can not connect the two flowcode files.

I have the article on how to set these up, but can't connect the two files.

What I did is start the VNET exe (FlowServer.exe), and checked if the IP is the same in the properties as the one of this computer. (196.168.1.2). I left the portnumber as it was. The server is running.

The client name was set in the "CreateVnet"
Then I opened my CAN1project.fcf and made a VNET connection named "connection". (message: that the new connection is established). Added node "CAN (0)" to expose.
Now I left this file open and started a new Flowcode session with CAN2project.fcf.

In VNET options the IP and port number is the same as in CAN1project.fcf.
When I click VNET-> Join Vnet, and choose the "connection", press Join, I get the message that this can't be done.

What's wrong?

Can it be that because the CAN modules are both called CAN (0)?
Do I have to set the IP of the second node to another IP number?
Do I have to make two connections, with two names?
Other?

Any help is welcome.
Note that my version is another language so some names can be diffrent from the English one.

After typing the above I dived back into the knowledge exchange article.

I found what I did wrong.
In the second program I needed to create a new client with a different name..
What I did was use the same as the first.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
