Jump points in Flowcode 4 - is this a bug?

Post by Sparkoids »

I realise that Flowcode is a graphically driven means of producing C code.

I also realise that in C it isn't good to use GOTO's because it can get the program involved in looping and not coming back.

Is that why if I set up a Macro with a decision I can't jump back to MAIN to the connection points already set up?

(I have now set up MAIN to run a Makro on INT B0 to set up Variable 1 = blah or Blah then come back and read those to continue to the connection points)

Is this a bug in Flowcode?

I'm using the Port B0 interrupt to use 1 switch for ON and OFF like a computer

ie Short keypress - GOTO Start or long keypress (delay 2s) GOTO End.

James :-)

Hello James

Did you get your LCD working?

Yes im afraid that connection points are not allowed between macros. If this is allowed then the hardware stack can very quickly become corrupted or run out of space on your device.

Eg if you are jumping to a macro and storing the return address. then before you get to return from the macro and drop the address off the stack you jump to another address which is back in the main. You then jump to the macro again which again adds another layer to the stack. And so on.
