ext properties of keypad

Post by iWillem »

Hello, I am a new E-blocks an Flowcode4 user. I am working on the course, but then I saw that I cannot choose the ext properties option of the keypad. Does the keypad have ext properties? or am I doing something wrong.

Greetings from Wim.

Hello Wim

What version of Flowcode are you running? You can find out by clicking on Help -> About Flowcode. The current version on our website is v4.2 so if you are running an earlier version then I suggest you update to the latest one.

You should be able to access the component properties by right clicking the component or by selecting the component and clicking the "..." next to the Ext properties on the properties bar.

Hello Benj, I use version 4.2.3.58. I installed from the DVD, and then I have installed the patch.

When I click the ... button nothing happens

Hello

Ok thats very strange I will see if we are able to replicate this here. Are you running anything unique on your system eg firewall or antivirus that could be having an effect?

Also what OS are you using? Are you using a language other then English either in Flowcode or in Windows?

If you right click the component and select ext properties from the menu then does this work correctly?

I am using Flowcode and E-Blocks on a apple macbook pro with Parallels. In Parallels I am running Windows XP pro sp3 english. It works ok with flowcode and E-Blocks hardware. Programming hardware, and simulating software al works. Exept the ext properties of the kepad. I have tried it with and without antivirus software. The antivirus software comes with Parallels and is a Kaspersy anti virus. In default flowcode 4 is in dutch but I have also tried to set the language to englisch. With the right click it does also not work. The firewall in windows is off. I am working behind a router.

Hello

Ok It may be possible that the properties of the keypad component uses a plugin that is part of .net or another Microsoft library that is currently not included or installed on your virtualised system. I will ask the engineers when they are in tomorrow as they will have a better idea of exactly what is being used by the properties window.

Please unzip the attached and replace the "PIC_Keypad.ocx" file in the "Components" directory of Flowcode. It should solve the problem.
