Hello all,
I'm trying to learn from the Can Bus examples, which is a big puzzle to me, but it seems slowly to sink in.
my problem is when I open CAN_Example_04_send, the program says "the thermometer-component doesnt exist anymore, choose an ADC-component (this all roughly translated by me from Dutch)
and then when it opens the component macros are empty, because there is no ADC component yet I think.
Can anyone get me a working Flowcode 4 version of this file? (please of course)
That would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Lex

Re: Example Can Bus
Hello Lex
You should be able to add an ADC component and then change any component macros that referenced the thermometer component to reference the ADC component instead. If you are having problems doing this then please post the file up here and I will sort it out for you.

Re: Example Can Bus
Hello Ben
I did, but I don't know what to fill in because there ar 2 Thermometer Componant Macro's, why is that,
the only variable to sent is the ADC_HI, as far as I can see
In the first CompMacro the variable ADC_HI is filled with the value from the ADC so where is the second ADCThermometer componant macro for
Ther are 2 more variables in the file what are they for, or are they a kind of leftovers .
So if there is a macro too much then I understand it,
Thanks so far,
Lex

Re: Example Can Bus
Hello Lex
The Thermometer and the old ADC used to have separate macros for sample and read. These are now combined into one sample and read function so you should be able to get rid of the second macro call.

Hello Ben,
thanks for the info, and for the new update to 4.3, with Dutch helpfile. (also for your co-workers)
Will the separate component helpfiles also be translated some time in the future?
till next question
