Hello,
If I want to use the hardware SPI port of the AVR controller is this not possibly by standard in AVR FlowCode V4
I know that the legacy SPI port defined by software config in Flowcode can be more flexible used for all the output ports of the device but for my program i prefer the hardware SPI port of the device.
Is this possible by AVR FlowCode V4 ?
Also have discovered some issue's with Legacy SPI port that the clear function (recycle icon) in SPI folder only works if FlowCode is in simulation mode.
Another issue is that if the Legacy SPI port is used in combination with a Floatingpoint Calculation (les then 7 digits) the program in simulation mode is working fine but is hanging in hardware.
This is strange because in my program the SPI has nothing to do with the output of the floatingpoint calc.
I hope you can help me
Kind Regards
Huib

Re: Prefer use of hardware SPI port insteath of SPI Legacy
Hello Huib,
The Legacy SPI component is controlling the SPI hardware. It is only called legacy because we have plans to replace it with a new more customisable SPI component in the future.
Are you trying to send the float directly to the SPI or are you converting to a string or byte array first?

Re: Prefer use of hardware SPI port insteath of SPI Legacy
Hello Ben,
On the moment no results by floating calc and conversion is send to the SPI
Only 4 bytes are send to SPI to see if it works correctly to adress the tuning word to DDS.
But its strange that if I use the Floating calc which is doing nothing with SPI the program freezes when its programmed in hardware. (simulation works excellent)
If i don't use the SPI part of the programm then everything is oké when programmed to hardware
Kind Regards
Huib

Hello Huib,
Any chance you can attach your program to the forums or send me a copy via PM to look into the problem for you.
