I bought two 18F4685 and plugged them into my two Multiprogrammerboards.
I started to make flows in Flowcode 4.3.7.63, but when I click "chip" "configure" the chip isn't in the list of available chips.
When I click autodetect it warns me that the chip isn't in the list.
I need to use expert configuration.
The problem is that I never used this. I thought that Flowcode would use every chip that was on it's list when you start a new project.
Can someone help me get started to use the 18F4685 with the standard Xtal on the programmer board? (19.6608mhz?)
It seems that the chip isn't erased when programmed, and the timing is whole wrong.
I started with an LCD on port A, it doesn't work.
The led's on port D that should blink for a second, burn almost 10 seconds...

Re: Using 18F4685
Always use Expert config. screen. the name is misleading. I aways use that one, and I am no expert. Otherwise chip selection is very limited. Sounds like you have not set your target osc to correct speed.

Also if you don't mind posting your file we can check your settings for you.

Re: Using 18F4685
I believe only the basic chips i.e all those that do not need any settings altered for then to work the way you want them to will be on the list. The chips that must have settings changed, i.e the more advanced ones, will not be on that list.MJU wrote:I thought that Flowcode would use every chip that was on it's list when you start a new project.
Had a look at you file. You will need to disable low voltage programming. Then see how you get on. Can't see any other reason for you software to run slow.
Unfortunately I have not got any experience with these chips, so won't be able to help much. Sorry.
