using flowkit with ECIO

Post by mimiyum »

Hello,

Do you have any examples on using the flowkit with ECIO. I tried a simple program on the ECIO-28 and attached it to the flowkit. It says "COULD NOT COMMUNICATE
WITH ICD. PLEASE CONNECT AN APPROPRIATE ICD UNIT (EG. EB006 V7) AND TRY AGAIN.

Does this mean I have to connect it to the EB-006? should my EB-006 be V7? I have a V6. What settings should we look out for? Can I use the EB061 instead?

Thanks!
Mimiyum

Hello Mimiyum,

The FlowKIT should work fine with the ECIO. The default ICD connections for the ECIO device are via the USB. Eg you have a second USB cable connecting the FlowKIT to the ECIO. Then you use the switch on the FlowKIT to control whether you are using ICD or programming the ECIO. If you are using USB in your program or wish to use pin onnections instead then you can change the pin settings in the project options window of Flowcode.

You can also use the FlowKIT on your v6 EB006 if you require for debugging.

The FlowKIT datasheet should contain all the information you require to get you up and running.
