new to Flowcode

Post by jimtr6 »

Hello, my Flowcode softwaew arrived yesterday and by last night I was able to use some simple sample programs and get an idea how it works, I modified some programs to learn some basic programming like decision, switch branch, loops , reading and writing to ports. What is nice it seems to what i have seen so far you dont configure the ports, you make a bit a switch, it is an input, turn on a LED it is an output, no TRISA setup needed. I have the home version, are the limitations a problem at times? I cannot name my switches and LEDS in the simulate window, no big deal there, it helps though.

Hello,

Great glad you have received your package and everything is working well for you.

You shouldn't have any problems with the home version until you want to use the features of the advanced components like RS232 and USB etc. If this is the case then you can always upgrade for the price difference so you've not wasted any of your money by getting the home version.

You can label switch banks and LED arrays. However if you want to label a single LED or switch then you have to do so by using the panel text item and manually adding your label.
