RTS CTS and Xbee component ?

Post by Mathy »

Hello guys !

I have a question about the Xbee component.

In your EB051-30-1 datasheet, you said that we have to connect the RTS and CTS.
If I already build my own board without RTS and CTS, is that a problem or not ?

Thank you for your help :)

Hello Mathy,

You can turn the Flow control off by using the code customization feature and editing the defines function of the Zigbee component.

The line you are looking for is this one.

Code: Select all

	#define MX_ZIG_HWFC			%l		//Zigbee Hardware Flow Control
Simply change this this to disable the flow control.

Code: Select all

	#define MX_ZIG_HWFC			0  //%l		//Zigbee Hardware Flow Control
The component may not work as well without the flow control pins so you may have to start being carefull about what gets sent and when. Anyway have a play and see how you get on.

Oh thank you very much Benj.

I didn't think to see the code customization future...sorry.

Thank you for your help. I will try this as soon as I receive my own PCB board.

Have a nice day :)
