Hello Barry,

I'm afraid that the default BoostC compiler does not currently support the 10F devices. You can use them by doing the HiTech workaround which is detailed below.

Hi Ben,

Have setup the HI-TECH compiler and now get error message

Launching the compiler...

C:\Program Files\HI-TECH Software\PICC\9.70\bin\picc.exe --CHIP=10F200 -N48 Kojak1.c

Kojak1.c: main()

Flowcode was unable to compile the flowchart's C code due to the following errors:

If your flowchart contains C code, please review this carefully. If your flowchart contains no C-code or you have thoroughly reviewed the code, contact Technical Support.

How do I work round this, it looks as if the compiler dont want to play.

Many Regards

Barry

Hello Barry,

Hm that's odd it appears that the definitions for the 10F devices have not come through correctly.

To work around this click the View -> Project Options menu.

Next enable supplementary code by clicking the check box and then click the edit supplementary code button.

Paste the following two lines into the top pane of the supp code window.

Code: Select all

#define osccal	OSCCAL
#define gpio	GPIO
Then click OK and your program should now compile correctly.

Let me know how you get on.

Hi Ben,

Many thanks for that.

That worked for the OSCCAL and GPIO OK but now get this :-
Launching the compiler...

C:\Program Files\HI-TECH Software\PICC\9.70\bin\picc.exe --CHIP=10F200 -N48 Kojak1.c

C:\Program Files\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h: 176: (1360) no space for auto/param delay_ms@del

Return code = 1

It Dont seem as if the delay is reconised

Hello,

The message.
C:\Program Files\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h: 176: (1360) no space for auto/param delay_ms@del

Means that there is not enough room left on the device for the delay function to fit into memory.

Unfortunately the 10F devices have very little memory and it seems they are designed for a very small amount of tight assembler code and not really suitable for C code. If your struggling to reduce the size of your program then the larger memory 10F devices should work correctly for you.
