Adding configuration settings to FCD files

Post by medelec35 »

Has the [config] option been disabled with FC4 pic version?
Tried

Code: Select all

[Config]
0=0x3F6A
1=0x3FFF
2=0xFFFF
3=0xFFFF
4=0xFFFF
5=0xFFFF
6=0xFFFF
7=0xFFFF
8=0xFFFF
9=0xFFFF
10=0xFFFF
11=0xFFFF
12=0xFFFF
13=0xFFFF
Below [Device] and config settings remained at the default 0x3FFF value

Thanks

Hi Martin,

Did you also add the "ConfigOverride=1" line in the [Device] section?

Hi Steve welcome back. Hope you had a good break.

Yes that’s it, did not know I had to add that line
Thank you.
Is there any way to not only to alter config value and save as new default, but also allow the conventional way of altering configuration since
ConfigOverride=1 greys out the configuration option?

Yes - I had a great break, thanks. We drove all the way to Slovenia which is a very beautiful country.

At the moment there is no way to do this. But it should be easy to allow the values in the [Config] section to be the defaults if the "ConfigOverride" is not set. I'll try to push this in to V5.

No its nothing you need to add.

When you select a target device to use e.g 16F88, then the default configuration settings are Watchdog timer and Low voltage programming enabled etc.

What I wanted to do was alter FCD file so Watchdog timer and Low voltage programming are both disabled. OSC set to HS etc by default when start a new project.

That's what this was all about.

Nothing to do with any bugs or issues.

@Steve Never been further then south Germany, and that was on company visit :P

Glad you enjoyed it, sounds very nice. Im jealous.
