Can Bus messages

Post by Zane »

Hi,

I have a project i am doing and have a master node that talks to several slave nodes using Can Bus. What i am wondering is can i manually set a message id and then set eight bytes of data and send it from buffer 0 and then set a new message id and send another block of data from buffer 0 again and repeat this process say 25 times until all data has been sent to each of the slave nodes? Will this work ok or is there a better way of doing this? Any help would be most appreciated.

Regards

Zane

Hello Zane,

Yes this is the way to do it, as you say you can re-use buffer 0 to send out all your data.

What would maybe make this easier would be to create a Flowcode macro with parameters for the ID and data and then you can simply call this macro several times in a loop when sending your data out.
