Are there any known issues with FC4 & PIC18F13K50 please?

This chip just doesn't run correctly even on simple flash a LED type stuff - the timings are all over the place and whilst trying to compile another program for a keyboard which simulates correctly produces these:

Warning unreferenced functions removed:
FCI_FLOAT_TO_STRING in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h
FCI_NUMBER_TO_HEX in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h
FCI_STRING_TO_INT in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h
FCI_STRING_TO_FLOAT in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h
Wdt_Delay_S in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h
Wdt_Delay_Ms in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h
isinf in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD\internals.h
FCM_Green_Out in: C:\Users\Windows_7\Documents\LED_Flash.c
FCM_Red_Out in: C:\Users\Windows_7\Documents\LED_Flash.c

And the simple flash an LED produces this...

Warning unreferenced functions removed:
FCM_LED_Off in: C:\Users\Windows_7\Documents\LED_Flash.c

I do not know what these "unreferenced functions" are having never seen this before.

Either I'm doing something wrong which is highly possible. Has anyone else actually tried Flowcode on this device?

Further to this; what is happening is that Flowcode 4 is actually removing these items during the compilation so for example I am running a program to flash a bi color LED to go RED ON, GRN ON, BOTH ON and BOTH OFF.

All that is happening after the compile is that the BOTH ON (Orange) stays on all the time.

I think either Source Boost or Flowcode is getting this wrong but am not sure...

It could be a configuration issue. Are you sure your config word settings are appropriate for your hardware?

Hi Steve,

I am pretty sure it is correct because it did compile this morning (although it didn't run quickly enough - the LED's were flashing too slowly) and work but now it doesn't.

I am using MPLAB with an ICD 3 to just dump the Flowcode .hex file straight to the chip via the 6 way interface which can read, blank check, program and verify OK.

Maybe I should try to reinstall Flowcode....

A config word problem could cause the timing issue, and also programs that totally fail. The unreferenced functions messages can usually be ignored.

It sounds like the compilation process is occurring ok.

I don't think you will need to reinstall Flowcode.

Hi Steve,

There are no settings in the Config Word box so I'll go and check the datasheets for the settings and work from there....
