C-code for ECIO18f - XBEE - XBEE - Computer

Post by RD70 »

Hi guys, I am very new to the ECIO and flowcode.

I am currently doing a project building an automated dragster and I am using a ECIO 28P (pic18f2455) to control it. I have a brushless motor connected via a BEC lead and an XBEE connected to C7 and C6.

What I need is the ability to send a message(can be any arbitrary character) from my PC (using X-CTU) and receive said message on my ECIO.

This message is then to be used as a Kill switch (i.e. it will be used to end a while loop.)

I also have the added complexity of having a interrupt based "ticker", that controls the timing of my PPM signal, this oscillates at 46.8kHz

I was wondering if someone out there code write me a bit of C - code that would allow me to receive this kill switch signal.

I only have the HOME version of flowcode (which I thought would have been enough for my project), but apparently this doesn't allow me to use RS232 or Zigbee (which is extremely disappointing.) hopefully however, the staff at Matrix are much nicer.

Thanks,
