Hello,

If the activation is failing then the computer is either not connected to the internet, or you have some strict firewall or other traffic monitoring software which is blocking Flowcode from sending out the activation data. This can be done manually I will email you with instructions.

Thank you DaviA

Now to reply to your two questions Yes I am connected to the net. And no there is no strong firewall as I did not have an issue with the home version it was registered within a few minutes. Now I have asked this question before and I will ask it again do I have to re-download a new copy of FlowCode or can I use the one that I down loaded when I bought the home version?

Best regards Xavier

Hello Xavier,

I see your issue now, you have the student version and have purchased an upgrade to professional, yes you can use the same installation, i will email you instructions on how to upgrade your install.

Hi DavidA

You got it that's what's been going on all this time but no one has yet given me the right info for this up grade. Sure hope that you will be able to give it to me so that I can get rid of this very irritating little box saying you have 27 day's left to register

Best regards

I'm a new user of flowcode 4.5, Pls can any one solve this prob......"I'm using flowcode for programming & Proteus for simulation. My program read ADC value & show that on LCD in Proteus, But when I make any calculation with that value it show 0.0000, even the is shown in Flowcode LCD but not in Proteus; can't understand why........????? Any one pls can help......(My circuit with code is attested below)

Hi
When using float calculations you cannot do it by vins = vins/2

You have to use the following method.

vins =fdiv(vins,2)

This method applies to all calculations when using floating point.
i.e. fadd, fsub, fmul etc see helpfiles for more info

Hi Darkcircle,
I have deleted 2 of your posts from different threads, which is the same question John has replied to.

Can you please not post duplicate questions.

Thank you.

JohnCrow all the thanks in this world is for you.I solved that prob but I'm facing new prob,

1.if I give this command in flowcode, proteus show 0.0000 "vins =fdiv(vins,sqrt(2))" but for this it works fine"vins =fdiv(vins,1.41421)"-----So how am I suppose to divide with root value directly.
2.In this ckt I tried to determine Irms with ACS712 current sensor.I'm abt to measure the peak value of a AC voltage coming out of Vlout pin.Eqn for Irms is like
Irms={Vlout/Sqrt(2)}/.064 .....But is proteus is fluctuating it shows 18.5A but some time it fluctuating not stable.Did I make any wrong in the code??
As I'm new in flow code so not very good programmer Pls help.......Full Ckt & code is Uploaded.

Im not familiar with protius, but Flowcode for pic does not have a square root function.

2. Where you are doing the decision Vin > Vadd, because you are using floats, again it is a bit more complex
You need to set a Byte variable say retval, then use the following

retval = floatgt(Vin,Vadd)

if the first value is greater retval = 1
if the second value is greater then retval = 0

then use a normal decision box to determine if retval is 1 or 0

A full list of these functions are in the calculation icon properties section in the help files
Hope Ive explained it clearly for you.
In this ckt I tried to determine Irms with ACS712 current sensor
Ive been experimenting with the ACS712 myself. Have you seen these posts.

Oh man you are a genius even just without watching my ckt you solved it......now my value don't make that much of fluctuation.....This is my new developed code uploaded here, though I used some connection point....Flow code don't have a sign wave or function generator but in proteus it works fine. But now I heading to measure active power,

Thus I need to use function P(active)=VI cos (theta); if I even some how measure the "theta" does flow code have any function of Cos(theta). If don't how am I suppose to measure active power.Pls help......

& here is a download link for proteus,(It's an awesome software any real time circuit simulation is possible virtually, before even going to hardware it's possible to see every thing): link : edit:link removed
You may have it if you think it will come any use to you.

Hi DavdA

Yes I did receive your e-mail and I did as you told me to but still nothing positive to forward you. Please view the PIC attached perhaps it will say more than what I can explain with words.

Best regards
Xavier PS sorry for the late reply but I have been very busy. The extension bmp is not allowed so sorry no PIC for now but if you can tell what I should send it as I will convert it.

Hi Xavier

When attaching pictures to the forums I use jpg files.
Not sure of the exact maximum file size allowed by the forums but i tend to keep it to about 130kb.
You wont be able to upload the file if it is too big, but the forum should tell you the max file size if you try to exceed it.

Hello Xavier,

Please try entering you code without the 'Name=' and 'Code=' parts

so in the box it looks like this :

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xavier D..
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

instead of

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name= Xavier D..
Code= XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ive attached (as a pdf) a method of calculating a cos by using simple math. Ive done this as the forum changes the formatting of the equation.

It seems to work, but its messy :)

Note multiplying by 0.0174533 is to convert to the angle to radians (pi/180)
Its a long time since I did AC theory :D

Ive attached a simple FC4 program for you .
It would be better to use loops when doing the multiplications but this shows the idea.

Hi Xavier,
You can go to this page:
http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/contact2.php
Fill in your name and email etc.
and select Forum activation for the Query Type.

Then in the message box enter:
Your Forum Username
Last 6 characters of your CD-Key

The 'Click on Register Button' (or Register Link?)just refers to joining the Forum in general and not V5 section.
So register Register Button is not there since you are already a forum member and already logged in

Membership to V5 is not automatic, and you will need to wait for approval.
Until then would you like to post in the Flowcode V5 Free Edition (I think you can)?
Then when membership has been approve for paid V5 version your post can be moved then by a mod.

Well OK then thanks Martin I did post the request but there was nothing telling me to post the last 6 digits of the CD key so I guess that I'll just have to wait till I get a reply then furnish them with the CD key.

All the best

Hi Jhon, How are you?

Thanks a lot for your help....as you shown I have written a code to calculate the phase difference of two signals & their "cos" function.I'm reading signal by adc, making them digital by flot_gt, used XOR to bring phase difference, using interrupt to count time & as Cos(THETA)=Cos(2*pi*frequency*time) so I calculated THETA & did the way U have shown.....& it runs on flowcode but not compiling to HEX.Don't know what mistake I did here.....Would U Pls have a look.....

& thanks a lot again for you help.....
