Burn your own SMD pics!
Hi Guys, I have been having a lot of fun with SMD pics! Here are a few pictures of the fixture I made to do it. It works great and I have yet to have a failure. Ben gave me a sketch with the pins that are actually needed but I could not see exactly how it should be hooked up so I just hooked up all 8 pins with short leads. Could someone clear up which pins are needed and where they would go with only an 8 pin pic? I have also been flowing my own boards in an toaster oven that I modified with great success but that’s another topic. I used a spring clamp to lock the pic down.

Re: Burn your own SMD pics!
Hi Werner
Does look like your hving fun!
I should really get involved with SMD, so what you have posted is really intresting.
Thanks
For 8 pin devices:
The connections you are interested in are:
VDD = +5V = pin 1
VSS = 0V = pin 8
VPP = High programming Voltage = pin 4
PGD = Programming Data = pin 7
PGC = Programming Clock = pin 6
