Sending byte over Internet

Post by Mathy »

Hello,

I have two boards who communicate by RS232.
Im looking to send some byte (eg 0x22, 0x01, 0x20, 0xFC, 0xFF) over Internet to replace this RS232 connexion .

Is that UDP protocol is able to transfer this frame in the right order?
What procole do you think is the best to do that ? TCP, UDP ?
Is that the WIZ810MJ is able to do that ?

Thank you for your help :)

UDP, TCP both can do that. TCP obviously better than UDP for reliability. But are you looking for any wired internet connection or wireless connection?
I have posted how to create TCP socket using wireless modem and PIC to communicate with remote devices.
