SPI Legacy - Send String does not Simulate

Post by Jay Dee »

Hi,
I have been unable to get the SPI Legacy component to simulate the Send String function. Is it supposed to?

I understand that the SPI buffer only holds a single byte but I noted the option to send a String.
Attached is a tiny example FC5 which sends both characters and strings, the character is simulated correctly but the string does not.
Have I balls'd this up somewhere. :?

Yes, it should send string in simulation...But unfortunately as you said..it doesn't do that. Jonny might have a look in that issue.

Thanks for the confirmation Enamul... I though it might just have been me doing something silly.
It should not hold me up too much as I'm pretty close to testing in hardware.
Cheers, J.

Hello. Many of the comms functions do not simulate, they are download only.

I will take a look after the weekend to see if it should and what is wrong with it, but it may just be that that functionality is not implemented for SPI Legacy.
