Hi
Anybody tried a log analogue input to linear digital? with Flowcode and PIC
thought I might try pre-loading an EEPROM with a anti-log table or a possibly a (twin table) LUT If anybody's done this before would be nice to hear from you

Hi Gary,
Have you read this?:
http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforum ... 34&#p18772
Also What version of Flowcode have you got (V4,V5 etc)?
Is it professional, student or free version?
I need to know for moving this thread.
Programming Tips & Tricks is for posting Programming Tips & Tricks and not for starting off with a question.

Re: Logarithmic analogue inputs
Hi
I would recommend you to use anti-log series to get the approximate value of your logarithmic input. I have did sin, cos, tan series and those worked excellent and believe antilog will work too.
BTW, are you need to use natural logarithm or 10-base logarithm? If naturral, you can follow following link
http://tedmuller.us/Math/Calculator-6'Logarithms.htm
and follow John's and my code to make something for antilog..
