Dear all,
I'm trying to send a string with max. length of 100*8=800 characters to an ECIO40 ?
Is this (because of the length) realistic?
Shall I do this by sending a text file with Hyperterminal via the USB-serial component?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for your help.
Jef

Re: Sending string to ECIO40
Hello,
You could break down your string into individual characters and add it to an array, arrays are limited to 256 on the PIC18s by default, so you could have multiple arrays making up your string, then rebuild your arrays when they are needed.
Or, there are ways as well to increase the array size, see this topic here: http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforum ... dx2#p47081
One suggestion, unless i misunderstood your request.
